The Present Pursuit is a personal blog about tarot, journaling, and whatever is on my heart or mind at the moment. It is very much a space that is still figuring out what it wants to be. A note on my view of tarot, since that is the current backbone of this publication: Tarot is one of my favorite tools for slowing down, reflecting, and expanding my perspective. My approach to tarot is a completely secular one, focused on gaining insight into ourselves - not the future. I view tarot, and most other types of divination, as rich sets of symbols and archetypes that can help us get in touch with some of our more subconscious thoughts, or even nudge us towards new outlooks to consider.

Subscribe if any of that sounds like your jam.

As of right now, everything I publish is available to all subscribers. This space is still evolving as I figure out what a sustainable writing practice looks like for me, and what kind of writing is most valuable to my readers.

About Me

This is normally when people start listing the books they've published, the big name publications they've written for, and the various job positions or accolades that are meant to communicate to you that they are a good writer worth reading. I don't have any of that. (At least not yet!) I've had many jobs, but none of them feel worth mentioning, or relevant to what I'm hoping to do here.

I'm just a person, with all the baggage that entails. I'll eventually update this when I have a better idea of what folks might actually want to know about me, but for right now, the best way to get to know me is to stick around and keep reading. Feel free to follow along on Instagram if you’re more of a picture person.

Thanks for being here,
